Look inside our brand new Flower Market
What an incredible day it was on Monday at the opening day of the brand new Flower Market at New Covent Garden Market!
Thank you so much to all of you who visited on this first day of trading. And many thanks too for all your fabulous comments on social media. We're so pleased that you like our new home. Just as we had hoped and were sure it would be, it's the Flower Market you love, only brighter, neater and comfier.
The Flower Hall is such a vibrant hive of activity, with the same wonderful spirit and banter that New Covent Garden Market is famous for. And one of the most popular comments from florists there on our opening morning was the lighting in the new building and how it really does make the flowers look even more beautiful than ever!
The traders had pulled out all the stops, with several of them wearing newly branded attire bearing their logos, like C Best and Zest Flowers, making it so much easier for new customers to recognise salesmen on their stands. And especially for the opening day, many traders had put on food and refreshments.
We hope you enjoy looking through the photos of this very auspicious day in the history of the Flower Market.

The amazing extensive display area which C Best have created is a sundries paradise, an Aladdin's cave! With carpets of artificial turf...

The simpler layout of the new Flower Market is very easy to navigate. The building is rectangular with two corridors running its length and traders either side. Go here if you'd like to see a floor plan.
75% of London's florists, from high street retailers to high-end event companies, with their floral designs appearing in places such as The Savoy, V&A and St Paul's Cathedral, source their flowers, foliage, plants and sundries from New Covent Garden Market. If you'd like to join them and haven't visited us before, we'd be delighted to give you a free introductory tour. Please go here to book now. It really is a one-stop shop for all your floristry needs, all under one roof. And it's the 'go-to' place for a fantastic selection of British flowers, foliage and plants!
Monday 3 April was also the first day for the 11 resident florists who are located on the first floor at the new location. They are Elizabeth Marsh Floral Design, Frames for Florists, Pinstripes & Peonies, Stems UK, NB Flowers, Nidal Floral Design, Plant Display Plus, Smith & Green Wholesale Florists, The Flower Bird, Blue Sky Flowers and The Garden Party.
