Your questions answered about the new Flower Market
On Mon 3 April, we’ll be opening the doors to our brand new Flower Market at New Covent Garden Market.
If you don’t know all the ins and outs of the new Flower Market yet, head over to our guide here. We’ve also put the answers to some frequent questions below.
Opening times
The hours of the market remain the same as now, Monday to Saturday 4am to 10am. Just like now, some of our wholesalers will open earlier and close later to suit their own businesses.
At 4am on Monday 3 April, we will be cutting the ribbon to officially open our new home of flowers. Come and join us to mark this special occasion.
How do I get there?
The Flower Market is moving just down Nine Elms Lane to our old Main Entrance Site. Your new postcode for sat navs will be SW8 5EH.
How does the parking work?
If you have a permit it’ll work just like now and we’ll be switching it to the new Flower Market. There’s nothing else you need to do.
If you usually pay cash, you will now pull a ticket on entering and pay at one of the pay stations before leaving - this is only for those without permits. £5 will give you three hours parking. Longer stays cost more, starting at £25 for 3-4 hours.
Where can I park?
There are two parking floors and you can park on either one, in any space. Large vans can park on the first floor too, as the height allows up to and including a Luton van.
Can I come in my van and/or car?
Yes. You can enter the new Flower Market with both commercial vehicles (vans) and private vehicles (cars).
Can I leave my car/van all day or overnight?
Unfortunately not any more. With your permit, you can take all the time you need to buy in the Flower Market, but you’re not able to leave your car or van for long, extended periods.
How do I find my wholesaler?
Go here to see a bigger version.
Can I book a tour?
Absolutely. If you’re new to the Flower Market, there’s never been a better time to start buying. Book a tour now and we’ll show you round the biggest flower market in the UK and introduce you to our wonderful wholesalers. We have dates in April, May and June.
Can I just come along and visit?
Of course. Simply visit us any day you like from Mon 3 April. Treat you and your team to a trip down and a delicious market breakfast after all your hard work this Mother’s Day. Come and experience the future of flowers.
